Important Update Guys!
Since our last post we told you about a great gig at The Lakes Festival supporting The Hoosiers, a lot of exciting things have happened and are lined up to finish our summer with a bang!
Firstly we would like to say a massive thanks to Georgia over at Gigs and Freudian Slips for naming us Lincolnshire Band of the Week recently, in her review of the band. We really appreciate the feedback we received. If you would like to check it out along with the interview here it is – Lincolnshire Band of the Week: Project: Redshift
The picture at the top of this post is from Lincs Wilds Festival and we have to say it was our best gig to date! This was hugely down to the crowd being so enthusiastic and supportive, which at points was a little overwhelming and took us all by surprise. We had the best time and look forward to any future Wilds Festivals we may be a part of. Huge credit goes to Ray Perry for hosting, organising, promoting and facilitating the event which was such a huge success.
The stuff you’ve been waiting for!
We have been recording and working with The Pump House Studios on our debut single for a few weeks now and we are so stoked to have heard the finished product that has come to fruition after the first part being written roughly three years ago, by our bassist and vocalist, Pete. Sections of the song came piece by piece from different influences but did not truly come together until we first started filling in the gaps and moulding it as a band. We feel it definitely takes you on a journey (if that’s not too much of a cliche) and lets the listener have some insight into how and why the song was written. This has culminated into something we are all really proud of, and incredibly excited to release.
Watch this space!
Last weekend we were lucky enough to be added to the bill of The Lakes Festival 2017 in Burgh-Le-Marsh. We opened the festival and had loads of fun on stage, showcasing some of our original music to a much bigger audience than we’ve played to before, which was an honour. After we played we hung around for the rest of the day to watch the rest of the bands, including the awesome Vigilantes, Ash Wilson and of course The Hoosiers, who we were lucky enough to get a photo with afterwards (Pictured above).
In addition to this, we’ve just announced another last minute show at The Nag’s Head in Wootton, which is a charity show in aid of The UK Solidarity Fund. We’ve got a really exciting set planned and can’t wait to play for you, so don’t miss it, we will see you there. We play at 4:30!
